We are your Bicycle Specialists in West Yellowstone! By offering rentals, sales, service, and accessories we can handle all your bicycling needs. Freeheel and Wheel is filled with a great selection of bike accessories and clothing. To name a few, we carry brands including: Pearl Izumi, Park Tools, Serfas, Camelbak, Smith, and Continental tires along with others. For the cross country tourist, we stock Continental and Specialized touring tires. Freeheel and Wheel sells Trek, Specialized, and Gary Fisher bicycles. We offer a variety of models including kid’s bikes, comfort bikes, and mountain bikes. Special orders are welcome such as road bikes and bike accessories. We specialize in serving our customers by finding the model of bike that best suits them. Our expert staff pays particular attention to the fit of the bike to ensure comfort.
Slow your pace down. Enjoy the surrounding areas on two wheels. Rent a mountain bike and hit the local trails for a fun day outdoors. The staff at Free Heel and Wheel will match you with the best sized bike and we are always ready to recommend a few great rides. We check over our rental bicycles regularly and tune them as needed to ensure a comfortable ride. A helmet and water bottle are included. Local Options Spring/Fall Cycle Tours Women’s Ride Rider Ability: Easy/Intermediate Our famous cross country ski trails create excellent singletrack riding during the warm months. The Rendezvous Ski Trails are a great place to hike, run or mountain bike. As you wind through the pine forest remember that you are sharing the trails with wild animals. Join us May 10, 2008 for the 11th Annual Spring
Cycle Tour. This 64 mile ride will take
you “around the Block”. The beautiful,
but sometimes challenging ride follows the highways from West Yellowstone to
Henry’s Lake, taking a right turn at Raynold’s Pass and cruising by Quake and Sign up now for the 10th Annual Fall Cycle Tour
on October 6, 2007 to Join us once a week for an all women’s mountain bike ride. Weekly rides are open to all levels of riders and we start the season out with easier rides and work up to more difficult ones. These rides are a fun way to explore the trails with an experienced rider. Meet us in the shop every Thursday at 9:00am beginning June 7, 2007. Rides last anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. Bring water, a snack, your helmet, and be ready to ride. Call ahead if you need to rent a bike.
